Looking as if it were extracted from a vintage fighter plane, the AutoPilot’s roots are firmly planted in the sky. The design is truly inspired by aeronautic instrumentation, evident in it’s clearly layed-out dial design. From the case shape to the fonts that were selected for the dial, the AutoPilot remains true to form in the world of aviator watches.
The AutoPilot is a very rugged, yet very comfortable watch that always seems to attract compliments. It features a heavy stainless-steel case with curved lugs that hug the wrist, and a ramped bezel which is secured to the case by four hex screws. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating for optimal visibility of the dial and broadsword hands. The dial and hands utilize SuperLuminova, the luminescent material used on the finest watches in the world. The automatic self-winding versions of the AutoPilot also have a sapphire exhibition caseback thru which you can view the engine of this wrist machine.
